MALDI Mass Spectrometry
(Courtesy of WITA GmbH & Dr. Irrgang, Max-Volmer Institut, TU-Berlin, Germany)
Following a short introduction into MALDI-MS theory this course rapidly shifts its focus toward the practical aspects: Tryptic digest of 2D-gels plugs, sample preparation, measurement, analysis of spectra, creating valuable mass lists from raw data, Mascot-Searching and critical assessment of protein ID-results. Hands-on experience can be gathered in crucial areas of sample preparation and MS-Maldi spectra analysis.
